Hi again everyone!
I’ve had a slightly less stressful week. My finances are a bit more up and running, unlike myself. But I have come to the realization that I need structure and budgets to follow, in order to stay afloat. Having more or less lost my two part-time jobs I need to set up a system that limits my spending ability. 100kr per day for food, coffee, beer or anything else whilst setting aside money each month for debt and bills. So enough about me.
When you are thinking about something that is very worrisome and you can’t fix the problem at that point in time, but it still pops up in your head, go do something. There are many options here in Oslo(and I’m guessing other places as well) where you can go and distract yourself for free. Many types of concerts, gatherings, workshops and lectures to get your mind of things. Bear in mind that just because it’s free, it doesn’t mean that it’s not worth anything.
I met a very interesting person tonight during a concert that helped me understand that I’m lucky and all the things I worry about are minuscule by comparison. He thanked me for my input and I for his, and went our seperate ways. You can make an impact in people’s lives by just being you, so you owe it to yourself and the world to strive towards the best you. If you’re bad at something, it only means you can get better. If you’re good at something, you can get better at it. And if you’re great at something do that as often as you can. I heard in a motivational speech by Nick Vujicic that the two greatest days of your lives are: the day you are born and the day you know WHY.
On that note, to get closer to my headline, writing has become a healthy distraction. Find yours..
